People ask, “What’s wrong with you? You can’t possibly win a seat on Oconee County Council. They don’t want to hear from a Democrat”  I don’t argue. l smile.  I can’t lose because I will contribute value to the game.

• I tell 'em my campaign is a first step in a longer campaign.

• I tell ‘em I don’t need victory to win.

• I tell ‘em I serve all of us, including liberals and progressives who are coming here to live.

• I tell ‘em I'm with conservatives who want conservative politics to change.

• I tell ‘em I’m a lobbyist for an alternative pov that works for everybody.

• I remind them that we must always take a first step and I here to take that step.
